Let the Zoo Come to you!

Experience wildlife up close and personal by having Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s “Zoo on the Move” (ZOOM) visit your school, civic organization or community gathering. Program topics are tailored to specific ages and audiences and always include interaction with live animals. ZOOM is guaranteed to enhance any program or event while inspiring participants to make a difference for the natural world.

Classroom Programs

ZOOM programs can supplement your science curriculum in fun and exciting ways by bringing Colorado State Standards “to life,” connecting students with the wonders of wildlife and wild places. All programs include live animals, biofacts (animal artifacts) and a ZOOM presenter. Programs run approximately 30 minutes for preschool and kindergarten and 60 minutes for all other grades. For the optimal intimate experience, audience size is limited to 30 students per program.

A substantial discount is offered for same-day multiple programs at one site, which can occur concurrently or not. For more information contact The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo at (719) 633-9925 ext. 127.

Thanks to a sponsorship from Central Bancorp, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s new “Zoo on the Move” education outreach program can transport live animals to schools, civic groups and community events via an eye-catching ZOOMobile. Kids of all ages can get up close and personal with everything from a California king snake and a Madagascar hissing cockroach to a hawk and a porcupine. By taking the Zoo out into the community, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and Central Bancorp hope to connect more people with the wonders of wildlife and inspire stewardship of the natural world.
